Captain Claude Giroux was rumored to move during the trade deadline period. Wild rumors sent him every which way, but now is the time to focus on the remaining of the season and the playoffs.

According to this report, Giroux's still highly confident about his team's chances, even facing the Washington Capitals tonight. "Our goal is to go in there and get two points. They're one of the best teams in the league. It's not a secret, but at the same time, we're fighting for our lives here, and a game like this couldn't come at a better time."

He sees the addition of Valtteri Filppula as a reason for opposing teams to respect the Flyers. Filppula has a good 2-ways type of game and adds to the skills needed to get into the Spring tournament.

Additionally, Wayne Simmonds adds to the story: "We just have to go in there, try to limit our mistakes and try to play the same brand of hockey we've played the last few games".

All in all, spirit is still high despite a disappointing season so far. With 67 in 63 games, the Flyers need to get on track fast. As of tonight, they have a 3% chance to get into the playoffs. Yep, three percents.

Claude, it's now or never!
