The National Hockey League's Department of Player Safety has handed out a multi-game suspension.

Flyers forward Brayden Schenn will have to wait a bit longer to get back on the ice with his teammates next season as a result of the three game suspension he has received for his illegal hit to the head of Capitals forward T.J. Oshie in Game 7 of their first round playoff series.

As we highlighted several times during the first round, Oshie and Schenn had one of the best rivalries of the playoffs so far, but the NHL ruled that Schenn went one step too far, they ruled it was both a hit to the head as well as a charge, citing the fact that Schenn launched himself off his skates when making contacting with Oshie.

Here's the video of the incident you can judge for yourselves.
