Goaltender Carter Hart is officially no longer a member of the Philadelphia Flyers, having been removed from the team after it was revealed he was one of the players on the 2018 Team Canada World Junior roster that was charged with sexual assault.

Since then, the Flyers have been rolling with goaltenders Samuel Ersson, the struggling Cal Petterson and young Felix Sandstrom. However, it looks like they're getting some reinforcements from overseas.

According to a report from earlier today, goaltender Alexei Kolosov, whom the Flyers selected with the 78th overall pick in the 2021 NHL Draft, is on his way to North America.

Having played for Minsnk Dynamo in the KHL the last several years, he's 2-4-0 this season with a 2.21 goals against average. Last season, he racked up a 22-21-3 record with a 2.39 goals against average and .907 save percentage with four shutouts.

"Kolosov was ranked by NHL Central Scouting as the 2nd best European goaltender in this draft, and he certainly has a number of tools to support this evaluation. When it comes to having the mind of a goaltender, Kolosov has all the fundamentals in spades. Excellent lateral movement across the crease, and great positioning and rebound control have elevated Kolosov as a prospect above most of the other goaltenders in this class.

His mentality and work ethic have also been commended, with experts ensuring that he doesn’t get rattled, and is easily able to overcome mistakes and settle back into playing strong after every goal, which is something that is a crucial part of goaltending."
