What a hilarious family anecdote:

They might be playing for different teams, but brother Nick and Marcus Foligno shared the “same dressing room” for quite some time. Earlier this week, Nick who plays for the Boston Bruins, joined the Spittin’ Chiclets podcast this week and revealed how he shared a room with Marcus until he got married.

Nick tied the knot with Janelle back in 2011, and though they lived together during the seasons when he played for the Ottawa Senators, the gritty forward shared with his younger brother Marcus back home until the wedding.

“I think Marcus might have told you guys: we shared a room until I was just married.”

“That’s just the way we were, I didn’t know any different. I remember just getting married that summer. … It was pretty fun growing up. I’m lucky. We are very close even though the age gap is four years. I consider him my best friend, he is a guy that I’ve leaned on, we’ve leaned on each other and now seeing him where he is in his career, it’s pretty awesome.”

The brothers might be leaning on each other at the moment. Marcus has gone from 4th-round pick to playing a big role on the third line of the Minnesota Wild in the midst of a tight playoff run, will face elimination on the same day that his brother

Nick plays a do or die Game 6 in Boston in its first-round series against the Carolina Hurricanes. The Wild will be in St. Louis, hoping to stay alive against the Blues to push a Game 7 back home in Minny.

There’s nothing like a brother’s support, especially if you are facing similar adversity.
