Footage of Maple Leafs fans comes back to haunt them at the worst time!

The Toronto Maple Leafs find themselves in a 2-0 hole in their second-round series against the Florida Panthers. Their fans might want to enter that same hole for the next day or so as videos have reemerged on social media that are coming back to haunt them at the worst time.

When the Maple Leafs awaited the result of Game 7 between the Boston Bruins and Panthers in round one, they were filmed chanting “We want Florida!” in unison, whilst celebrating their Leafs’ long-awaited triumph in Round 1.

Let’s just say Florida is a much tougher opponent than they ever anticipated.

The series is far from over, but it does shift back to Florida where the Panthers could close out the matchup in a sweep, in front of the local fans.

This would be a tough blow for the Maple Leafs fans, especially the ones that asked to face Florida and were caught on tape.
