Footage reveals how Radko Gudas is a beloved teammate

The Florida Panthers kicked off the 2023-24 season with the hopes of once again reaching the Stanley Cup final, this time, with a different outcome. However, the roster changed during the summer including defenseman Radko Gudas leaving Florida to sign as a free agent with the Anaheim Ducks. After spending the past three seasons with the Panthers, Gudas ended up signing a 3-year, $12 million deal with the Ducks, a hefty increase from the 3-year, $7.5 million contract he had signed in Miami back in 2020.

Gudas has been missed in South Florida, by the fans and his teammates, and it was especially clear when Aleksander Barkov didn’t have Gudas to high five following  the Panthers’ victory.

The footage was trending on social media on which you can see how bittersweet it is for Barkov to get the win, but to be unable to celebrate like he used to with the defenseman.

Gudas is quite a tough adversary on the ice and if your favourite team plays against him, there is no way you like the blue liner.

However, this clearly shows how much Gudas is missed by the guys in Florida and how good of a teammate he is to have.
I definitely prefer to have him on my team than on the opposite side of the ice!
