Former 1st round pick slams his former team after being moved!

This was not an amicable parting of ways it seems.

Just a few short days after being placed on waivers by the Winnipeg Jets, former Atlanta Thrashers' first round draft pick Alexander Burmistrov had some harsh words for his former team.

Burmistrov was asked to talk about the difference between his new team, the Arizona Coyotes, and his former team the Jets, and while he could have given any number of different answers to the question he choose to take shots at the Jets and more specifically their coaching staff.

"The coaches believe in me here. They never believed in me in Winnipeg. Ever," said Burmistrov as per Sean Reynolds.

In defense of the Jets Burmistrov was given plenty of opportunity appearing in over 300 National Hockey League games, and at no point did he live up to the first round pedigree that saw him picked 8th overall. He has two points in his first three games as a member of the Coyotes and if he truly wants to prove that the Jets coaching staff didn't give him a fair shot, he'll have to do it on the ice.
