We reported earlier this week on the nasty injury suffered by former first round pick in the National Hockey League Draft Wojtek Wolski and as one would have expected based on the video at the time, the news on his health is not good.

According to a report from the Kontinental Hockey League Wolski's injuries are extensive and he has already been ruled out of any possible return this season, no word yet on whether or not this could impact his career for the long term.

According to the KHL Wolski suffered wto broken cervical vertebrae, spinal cord trauma, as well as a concussion from his impact into the boards, and while it's devastating to be sure, considering how horrible it looked we're glad it wasn't worse.

Hopefully he makes a full recovery.
