The Montreal Canadiens executed a big trade in the offseason, acquiring highly talented forward Jonathan Drouin from the Tampa Bay Lightning, but they gave up a big piece of their own in that deal.

On Wednesday defenseman Mikhail Sergachev, the newest member of the Tampa Bay Lightning's blue line, was asked how he felt about being traded by the Canadiens, and he appeared to take some shots at his former team in his response.

"This team wants me more than Montreal & they want to see me succeed in the NHL. Will try to help. That's why I love this team"

Sergachev was selected 9th overall by the Montreal Canadiens in the 2016 NHL draft, and there were many who felt the 4 games he was limited to with the Habs last season were not enough for Sergachev to earn a fair shot at the NHL level.

It seems Sergavhev may have felt the same way.
