This just in, the NHL Alumni Association has announced the sudden passing of former Atlanta Flames, Calgary Flames and St. Louis Blues forward Guy Chouinard at just 69 years old.

The Quebec City native put up a remarkable 50 goals and 107 points in just his third NHL season with the Flames back in 1978-79. After a 10 year NHL career, Chouinard returned back to his home province where he established himself as a stellar head coach in the QMJHL, where he won a league championship.

Guy's son, Marc Chouinard of course had a lengthy NHL career also.

RIP Guy, gone but never forgotten.
