The Vegas Golden Knights are weeks away from their first game in National Hockey League history, and fans are more than excited.
And they are not the only ones; hockey experts and several former NHL players are looking forward to the Knights' inaugural season and what the team can achieve in its first year.
Former NHL forward Vincent Damphousse praised the Golden Knights on a Montreal television show, L'antichambre on RDS, last night.
"On paper, it is probably the best expansion team I have ever seen," Damphousse commented (translated from French.)
The expectations are high, but with the face of the franchise Marc-Andre Fleury in goal, dynamic forwards such as Jonathan Marchessault, James Neal and Vadim Shipachev, things are looking good for the Knights.
