The rumors had been floating around for a few days but now it's confirmed.

On Wednesday National Hockey League player agent Dan Milstein announced that former NHL superstar Pavel Datsyuk was taking a brief break from the Kontinental Hockey League in order to attend the NHL's All-Star game.

It's unclear exactly what capacity Datsyuk is believed to be attending in, but there are rumors that he will be named as one of the NHL's 100 greatest players of all time at that event.

Datsyuk's NHL rights are technically now owned by the Coyotes so he still has an NHL contract, but there have been no rumors of him participating in any of the on-ice events at the game.
