Disciplinary proceedings have already been initiated against the former NHLer.
A former National Hockey League forward is going on a rampage this season in the Swiss League, but it sounds like it's about to cost him.
This week 34 year old Daniel Carr went berserk on another 34 year old former NHLer in Gaetan Haas during a game between Carr's Ajohe HC and Haas' Biel HC. It was Carr who was clearly the aggressor in this one, going after Haas from behind initially after Hass had put the puck in the back of the net.
Carr not only proceeded to maul Haas while Haas appeared to show no real willingness to engage in a fist fight with his opponent, but Carr would continue his onslaught even after Haas had dropped to his knees. Despite the fact that Haas was defenseless and showing no signs of wanting a fight, Carr delivered a devastating punch that knocked Haas to the ice and one that is sure to earn him a long vacation.
While Carr hasn't officially been suspended as of yet, it was announced on Saturday that disciplinary proceedings have already been initiated. Given the attention this incident has already received, I believe it's only a matter of time before Carr is struck with a significant suspension.
