Former NHLer Don Saleski rips Don Cherry, calls him out for abusive coaching tactics

The man is down and out... and yet people still keep kicking him.

It’s been a whirlwind of controversy in the NHL this past week following allegations that Calgary Flames head coach Bill Peters used racially charged language when addressing former player Akim Aliu during the 2009-10 season with the Rockford IceHogs of the AHL. 

Oh… and of course there are those reports of then rookie Mitch Marner’s treatment from former Toronto Maple Leafs head coach Mike Babcock.

Oh… and just last night the Chicago Blackhawks announced that they’ve stripped assistant coach Marc Crawford of his duties while they investigate allegations hurled against him from over a decade ago.

Suffice it to say that NHL coaches around the league are looking around and wondering which of them will have the finger pointed at them next.
Well… here’s your next target: Don Cherry.

The former CBC broadcaster turned independent podcaster has obviously been in the news a lot this season, but earlier today former NHLer Dan Saleski shared his opinion on Grapes with Philadelphia Flyers reporter Bill Meltzer. Let’s just say that Saleski isn’t a fan of Grapes…
