Former NHLer Erskine faces several charges including dangerous and impaired driving!

Last May, it was reported that former Washington Capitals defenseman John Erskine got involved in a serious crash that left him with critical injuries. Erskine was driving a black Ford pickup truck, hit a transport truck while driving west in the eastbound lanes of Highway 401.

On Friday, TSN’s Rick Westhead confirmed that Erskine is facing several charges including dangerous and impaired driving. His case was adjourned in November, so his attorneys could receive disclosure from prosecutors. 

It was later revealed that he was operating a motor vehicle with more than the legal limit of alcohol in his system. 

Erskine is scheduled to return to court Jan. 14.

Since getting injured, there have been no updates on Erskine’s condition made public by his family. We might find out more once he returns to court early in 2020.
