Bill Daly publicly addresses the situation.
Slava Voynov hasn’t played with the Los Angeles Kings since the ’14–15 campaign, when he was suspended indefinitely while facing domestic violence charges. After these terrible charges, Voynov decided to move on and play in the KHL.
Bill Daly publicly addresses the situation and here’s what he had to say on Voynov potentially returning to Kings as reported by Mike Halford from NBC Sports
“If that was ever something that was proposed, we’re on record as saying that would require a proceeding before the commissioner,” Daly said, when asked about Voynov’s possible return “Ultimately that’s not my decision, that’ll be Gary’s decision.”
“I don’t want to speculate either on what that might be. I’ve heard from time to time that he might have an interest in coming back to the National Hockey League, but that hasn’t advanced in any material way to this point. So let’s wait and see if it happens.”
