Free agent Vladimir Tarasenko has reportedly signed a new deal
It's a fresh start for the veteran forward.

According to a report from NHL insider Shayna Goldman of The Athletic, unrestricted free agent forward Vladimir Tarasenko is reportedly closing in on a contract with the Carolina Hurricanes.
From Goldman:
Tarasenko had been rumored to be deciding between as many as six offers with the likes of the Hurricanes, Ottawa Senators and Philadelphia Flyers all confirmed as teams in the mix.
The 31 year old Russian put 18 goals and 50 points in 69 games split between the St. Louis Blues and New York Rangers last season. The big winger is just one season removed from a 34 goal, 82 point campaign in 2021-22 and looked to be rejuvenated a bit playing with the Rangers down the stretch and into the playoffs this past spring. Personally, I think he'll be a great fit with the Hurricanes. The 'Canes are loaded up front and won't need the aging Tarasenko to carry their offence like he had to for years with the Blues.
Stay tuned for official confirmation from the Hurricanes.
