Yeesh... just 7 shots on goal through 2 periods for the 'Canes...
Frustrated Carolina Hurricanes are voicing their displeasure for their team in multiple ways this evening.
Hurricanes fans haven't had much to cheer for in Game 2, as the visiting Florida Panthers have been in full control since the opening puck drop. Sure, there was a moment where Sebastian Aho appeared to crack the goose egg for the Hurricanes, but the goal was turned back upon review due to an offside.
After having already boo'ed the Hurricanes off the ice after a lacklustre 1st period, fans at Raleigh's Lenovo Center began chanting, "SHOOT THE PUCK!" in the 2nd period out of frustration.
Check it out:
The Panthers ended the 2nd period with just 7 shots on goal.

I've got to say... the 'Canes aren't giving their fans much to cheer for, so I can't really blame 'em.
The Hurricanes have been successful by implementing a suffocating system built on structure in both the offensive and defensive zones, but so far in this series against the Panthers they've been scrambling in all zones.
Again, I can't really blame fans for voicing their displeasure.

This just in, Jesperi Kotkaniemi has been removed from the Hurricanes' lineup for Game 2 and is expected to be replaced by Mark Jankowski.

The Carolina Hurricanes host the Florida Panthers for Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Final this evening and will be looking to split the series after getting trounced in Game 1.
Given the Hurricanes' lack of offense in Game 1, you can't blame head coach Rod Brind'Amour for making some lineup changes for this evening's game. While nothing is official, it looks like former 3rd overall pick Jesperi Kotkaniemi will be a healthy scratch tonight. Kotkaniemi took this morning's game-day skate with the team's regular healthy scratches, while his teammates took line rushes.
Kotkaniemi has gone scoreless in 11 playoff games this post-season.
