Funny business in NY, Islanders call up a third goalie with two healthy ones already.

We aren't quite sure what to make of this story but there is certainly some funny business going on in New York.

The Islanders have announced a very curious decision, they will be fielding goaltender Jean-Francois Berube on Tuesday after calling him up on Monday following a conditioning stint. It's particularly odd when you consider both Thomas Greiss and Jaroslav Halak are both reportedly ready to go following the All-Star break.

Perhaps the Islanders are attempting to give their top two some additional rest, perhaps there is some nagging injury we aren't aware of, or perhaps the Islanders are showcasing Berube for a potential trade, or maybe even considering trading Greiss or Halak. The truth is we don't know but it's certainly curious behavior.
