These two were having a blast.
The Colorado Avalanche are currently in the middle of the Stanley Cup Final, competing for the biggest prize in the sport of hockey. That means that the Avalanche are currently all business, something that their 2 - 0 start to the final appears to reinforce, but this week the Avalanche also shared a more light hearted side of their adventure when they published some hilarious behind the scenes bloopers featuring 2 of their biggest stars, Avalanche captain Gabriel Landeskog and star defenseman Cale Makar.
The 2 Avalanche stars were shooting a Pepsi commercial together but the real story here is what went on during the commercial shoot, rather than the commercial shoot itself. Makar and Landeskog were both required to poke a little fun at one another during the 'Trash Talk' commercial that was designed to raise awareness about the importance of recycling and conservation.
Landeskog poked some fun at Makar's inability to grow a serious playoff beard while Makar mainly sat there chuckling at the fact that Landeskog was having trouble getting some of the wise cracks out without laughing. Landeskog tried to tell Makar that he would be better off joining a shuffleboard league, or just playing shuffleboard altogether, but he was unable to get the line out smoothly, much to the amusement of his teammate.
Finally the crew behind the making of the commercial gave Landeskog an out by allowing him to switch the line to hop-scotch which seemed to work better, but Makar was ready with an answer that elicited even more laughs from those in attendance.
Not only was this something amusing for the fans to enjoy but it no doubt will also serve as a great team building exercise for these two, given that their comradery with one another was on full display here. You can see the video for yourself, courtesy of the Colorado Avalanche, just below.
Something tells me after seeing these outtakes, there's probably a pretty good chance that we will see these two working on more of these collaborations in the not so distant future.
