The Minnesota Wild will have a few lineup alterations for tonight’s game against the Carolina Hurricanes

First, let’s take a look at who’s out.

Forward Jason Zucker will be out with a lower-body injury, which sustained on April 1st in a shutout loss to the Nashville Predators. Zucker has 21 goals and 25 assists for 46 points in 77 games for the Wild this season.

Chris Stewart will watch the game from the press box as a healthy scratch. The 29-year-old power forward has struggled with consistent production this season, he has 13 goals and 21 points in 78 games.

Also, veteran Wild defenceman Nate Prosser will be sitting out tonight’s contest. The 30-year-old Minnesota native has dressed for 37 games this season, notching 1 goal and 5 points.

Ryan White and Jordan Schroeder will be stepping in to fill the holes in the lineup.

Schroeder has been in and out of the Wild’s NHL lineup since joining the team in 2014-15. The right-handed center from Lakeville, Minnesota has played in 35 NHL games this season, notching 5 goals, 12 points and a +/- of plus-6.

White, acquired in the trade-deadline deal with Martin Hanzal from the Arizona Coyotes, will also be on the ice. The gritty, depth forward will be looking to make life miserable for the Hurricanes tonight. White has 9 goals and seven assists this season, along with 77 penalty minutes.

The Wild have finally managed to turn around their play as the last week of the NHL regular season begins, they’ll be looking to finish their last three games with victories before taking on either the St. Louis Blues or Nashville Predators in the first round of the playoffs.
