You can say a lot of things about Gary Bettman, but you can't say that he doesn't choose his words wisely.

Well, at least you used to be able to say that... 'Heated Rivalry' changed all that.

The NHL commissioner was asked today about HBO/Crave mega hit 'Heated Rivalry', a streaming drama that focuses on a gay love affair between two professional hockey players, and his response was... well... really quite interesting.

When asked if he knew about the show Bettman answered in the affirmative and in fact said that he binged the entire show's episodes in "one long night".

I mean...

There's GOTTA be a better way to say that, Gary!

You have any other adjectives for that intimate evening between you and your flat screen, Mr. Commissioner? Was it a long, steamy night? A long dreamy night? Give us details!

"I'm well aware of 'Heated Rivalry.' In terms of embracing it, I think it's a wonderful story," Bettman clarified. "The content — particularly for young people — may be a little spicy. I thought the storyline was very compelling... it was very well done."

Oh, Gary... you're showing your cards, my man.
