Glass says he's close to new NHL contract, and fans of the team aren't happy.
The least exciting signing of the year?
HockeyFeed
It can't be a great feeling to be a veteran player close to a contract and knowing the fans of the team you'll be playing for don't want you.
On Monday National Hockey League veteran forward Tanner Glass hinted at the fact that he was close to signing a new deal with the Calgary Flames, something that is undoubtedly good news for the 33-year-old.
"It’s positive, all signs are pointing to getting something done.," said Glass as per Postmedia's Kristen Odland.
The reaction to the report from Odland was almost entirely negative, with Flames fans complaining about the potential signings and fans from rival teams mocking the Flames for possibly signing Glass.
That being said, it's only a small sample size and we're sure if Glass performs well for the Flames the fans in Calgary will welcome him with open arms.
