Goal at the buzzer overturned for goaltender interference in Game 6.

We have another incident of goaltender interference, this time in the first period of Game 6 between the Canucks and Oilers.

The National Hockey League can't get away from goaltender interference controversies in these Stanley Cup playoffs, and Saturday's clash between the Vancouver Canucks and Edmonton Oilers it appears will be no exception.

We already have a goal that has been disallowed in this one due to goaltender interference, with Oilers defenseman Evan Bouchard being denied a buzzer-beating goal in the opening period of Game 6. The goal was waived off by the on ice officials immediately upon being scored, which means that the Oilers would have needed conclusive video evidence in order to see the call overturned.

The NHL's stance on goaltender interference has seemed somewhat inconsistent in these playoffs, so unsurprisingly the Oilers and Oilers head coach Kris Knoblauch made the decision not to challenge this call.
