Gabriel Landeskog promised Avs' fans a better game on Saturday and he is doing his best to make good on that.
The Colorado Avalanche' captain is playing with some desperation tonight and is getting under Devan Dubnyk's skin. The Minnesota Wild goaltender didn't appreciate Landeskog in his crease.
As Landeskog sets up a screen, Dubnyk gives him a whack with his stick, and then things escalate. The two men start throwing punches at each other, with Dubnyk landing some decent blows.
However, it was Landeskog getting the last laugh, as he scored five-hole on the power play only minutes later, to give the Avalanche a 1-0 lead.
The goal snapped Dubnyk's impressive road shutout streak at 170:23.
