It’s hard to say what happened, but it’s easy to understand how the New York Rangers’ fanbase is feeling.
During the third period of the game between the Blue Shirts and the visiting San Jose Sharks on Friday night, goalie Igor Shesterkin, who’s been on a roll lately, appeared to be making a routine play, going down to the ice, but then, he couldn’t get back up.
His teammates rushed to his aid as the netminder needed to be helped off the ice.
There seems to be no wrongdoing by the Rangers, though Barclay Goodrow was quick to look for someone to blame.
Shesterkin was in obvious pain and it’s heartbreaking to see as the Rangers have been doing so well, mostly thanks to him.
