Goalie who nearly bled to death during OHL game has been released from hospital

In case you missed the news last week, an Ontario Hockey League (OHL) game between the Niagara IceDogs and London Knights was cancelled after IceDogs goaltender Tucker Tynan suffered a skate cut to his leg and nearly bled to death on the ice.

Suffice it to say that it was a horrific scene.

Tynan was rushed to a local area hospital and thankfully medics were able to stem the bleeding and prevent him from bleeding out.

Earlier today the IceDogs released an update on Tynan announcing that he has officially been released from the hospital and is en route back home to Chicago, Illinois to recover fully.

Fantastic news. Here’s hoping that Tucker gets back to health as soon as possible and we can all look back at this frightening scenario as merely a close call. Scary, scary stuff.
