While hockey fights are still relatively common across the sport what isn't so common to see is a hockey fight between two opposing goaltenders. They of course do happen from time to time and when they do they tend to generate a lot of excitement due to the unusual nature of the spectacle.

This past week was no exception when former National Hockey League goaltender Adam Huska went toe to toe with goaltender Andrei Mishurov during a game in the Kontinental Hockey League.

Huska, a former 7th round pick (184th overall) of the New York Rangers at the 2025 NHL Entry Draft, now plays for Vladivostok Admiral of the KHL and they were taking on Omsk Avangard who were being backstopped by Mishurov.

Thankfully for fans who wanted to see the clash, the KHL officials allowed this to go on for much longer than officials in the NHL would have allowed, with the two goalies getting over a minute to trade blows at center ice.

Unfortunately both goalies were clearly being limited by the bulkiness of their equipment and were wary of giving their opponent a dominant grip on that equipment, resulting in a lot of wild shots from a distance missing their mark. In spite of that they did both manage to connect quite a few times, but it was difficult to judge a winner given the wild nature of this exchange.
