Goaltender gets ejected after brutal slash to opponent's face.

Sometimes tempers flare out of control during hockey games, and that includes the goaltenders.

During Wednesday’s Liiga game between Lassila’s TPS Turku and Porin Assat, Finnish goaltender Teemu Lassila was playing the puck when he got a little bump behind the net from former NHLer Josh Gratton.

Lassila took offense to the bump and violently swung his stick into Gratton's face, leaving him bloody. He was forced from the game to go get his face mended.

Lassila was handed a five-minute major for slashing and a game misconduct. Hopefully Lassila gets his just desserts for this slash, which came dangerously close to Gratton's eye.

Unbelievably, Gratton actually returned to the game after getting numerous stitches to close a gash near his eye.
