Golden Knights clear a whopping $9.5 million in salary cap space for the deadline

The Vegas Golden announced earlier today that they have placed captain Mark Stone on long-term injured reserve, creating a whopping $9.5 million in cap space.

You hear that? BAH GAWD THAT'S PATRICK KANE'S MUSIC!

In all seriousness, the Golden Knights are in absolutely prime position to make a splash ahead of the NHL's March 3rd trade deadline and could make a serious play for a big name player like Patrick Kane, Timo Meier, Brock Boeser or Jakob Chycrun. And should we really be surprised? The Golden Knights are THE team to make a splash seemingly every season since they entered the NHL.
