Golden Knights forced to apologize for shameful beef in the press box!

A major controversy on Twitter - AGAIN! Will the person responsible be fired?

The Vegas Golden Knights Twitter account has been as talked about as the team itself in their inaugural season. For the second time this season, the club was forced to apology for another controversy that was made public on their social media account. 

They've struck again with a controversial tweet that could have caused several Nashville reporters to lose their credentials - and possibly their jobs. 

An unwritten rule in the NHL says that hockey reporters are not supposed to demonstrate any sign of loyalty to a team in the press box. For example, they cannot cheer a goal scored by the team they cover - to minimize any kind of "fan" bias and subjectivity in their writing.

After a Predators goal, the Vegas Twitter account tweeted this:

The tweet was subsequently deleted.

Now most of you will say who cares about who is or isn’t cheering in the press box? But while there are certainly more pressing issues in the world, an accusation like this could potentially bring about actual impact.

There for the Golden Knights made a public apology on Saturday for this behaviour:
