Golden Knights forced to call up a goalie on Sunday.
Not a good sign for the Vegas Golden Knights with the Stanley Cup playoffs just on the horizon.
This is not good for the Vegas Golden Knights.
On Saturday night, Golden Knights goaltender left a game against the Columbus Blue Jackets after he tweaked something during what appeared to be a relatively routine save. The shot from Blue Jackets forward Cole Sillinger didn't seem particularly menacing, but we now know that whatever happened to Hill on Saturday night was not good.
Although the Golden Knights have yet to officially disclose anything regarding Hill's injury status, they have disclosed that he isn't healthy enough to play, even in a backup role, by calling up another goaltender.
The Golden Knights have announced that goaltender Jiri Patera will be back on the main roster after being called up from the Henderson Silver Knights. Patera has already appeared in 5 games this season for the Golden Knights, posting a 3.85 goals against average and a .901 save percentage over those apperances.
The biggest concern here will of course be the long term health and well being of Hill with the 2024 Stanley Cup playoffs just around the corner, as any significant injury could seriously impact the Golden Knights' playoff hopes.
