Golden Knights give 3 players an “A” for the 2019-20 season
Are we getting closer to a player getting the captaincy?
HockeyFeed
The Vegas Golden Knights are entering in their third season in the National Hockey League and it seems like they intend to do it without a captain.
No captain has been named for the Golden Knights ever since the 31st franchise joined the league, but head coach Gerard Gallant revealed on Tuesday that three of his players will be names assistant captains for the team this season.
Gallant announced that forwards Mark Stone and Reilly Smith along with defenseman Deryk Engelland will wear the A on their jerseys of the 2019-20 season.
There is no lack of leadership in the dressing room of the Golden Knights, but the players sporting the prestigious letter on their jerseys are wise pick.
We now wonder if we are getting closer to a player getting named captain in Las Vegas…
