Golden Knights’ Howden leaves game on stretcher following scary collision
Scary scene in Vegas.
When you thought things couldn’t get worse in Vegas, they somehow managed to do just that.
On Thursday night, as the Golden Knights took on the visiting Nashville Predators, a scary scene occurred that sent shivers down everyone’s spines. Golden Knights forward Brett Howden was stretchered off the ice following a scary collision during the first period when he was crushed by Filip Forsberg.
Howden crashed face-first into the boards in the neutral zone after colliding with the Predators’ forward.
The venue went quiet as trainers rushed to his side and got him on the stretcher. Howden talked to his teammates and lifted his arm to acknowledge the fans as medical personnel got him off the ice.
This is what happened:
Howden has nine goals and 20 points for the season in 46 games played.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to him.
