The NHL will be much more entertaining now that he's around.

When the NHL announced that there would be an expansion team in Las Vegas, many people who thought it would be a flop for just as many reasons. But it turns out the Vegas Golden Knights have had a lot of success, even though the team has never even played a regular season game.

Bill Foley, the owner of the VGK, talked to Forbes about how much money his team is expecting to make next season. And it seems like he is going to make much more than many established organizations:

"We are number five, six or seven in terms of ticket revenue in the league. That’s how good Las Vegas has been to us. Edmonton has more revenue in their brand-new arena. The Rangers, Toronto, Chicago Blackhawks, they’re all ahead of us. Montreal is right with us. We have more revenue than the Flyers, Penguins, the Boston Bruins. Most of our tickets are multi-year. The lower bowl is three to ten years.”

This is a really bold claim, considering that the Montreal Canadiens made around $76 millions from ticket sales last season. Even more surprising is the fact that the Penguins have "just completed a second straight run of 41 home dates and four rounds of the playoffs. In 2016, that meant $85 million in gate receipts, according to Yahoo Sports.

Foley also mentioned the organization has sold 13,500 of the 17,000 available seats, as well as all the suites available. That is what I call a pretty efficient way of silencing the critics.
