On Tuesday, the Vegas Golden Knights needed to make urgent changes to their lineup ahead of Wednesday’s contest against the Predators in Nashville.

It was reported that Golden Knights made an emergency recall of goalie Garret Sparks seeing that star netminder Marc-Andre Fleury is away from the team for personal reasons.

Fleury left the team after asking for a personal leave and no one knew what was going on with the veteran goalie.

Finally on Wednesday morning, we find out that Fleury has has returned home because of an illness in his family, as confirmed by team insider David Schoen of the Las Vegas Review Journal.

There is no timetable for his return at the moment.

Fleury, who is quite popular around the league, slipped to 11-6-2 with a 2.54 GAA and a .919 save percentage in 20 appearances after a 3-2 loss to the Edmonton Oilers on Saturday.

He did not face the Dallas Stars on Monday night; backup Malcolm Subban was in between the pipes for the 4-2 loss.

We are certainly hoping for the best for Fleury and his family at this difficult time.
