The Pittsburgh Penguins have reactivated defenseman Justin Schultz from the injury reserve ahead of tonight's game against the Arizona Coyotes. Schultz was a game-time decision, and he finally was dressed for the game. Linked to Schultz return, the Penguins have assigned defenseman Zach Trotman to the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins (AHL).

Schultz, 27, was drafted 43rd overall by the Anaheim Ducks in 2008. He didn't sign with the team, and instead signed as a free agent with the Edmonton Oilers in 2012. In 354 games played in the NHL, Schultz registered 163 points. He added 17 points in 36 playoff games. He helped the Penguins to win the last two Stanley Cups.

Trotman, 27, was drafted 210th overall by the Boston Bruins in 2010. He played 70 games in the NHL with Boston and Pittsburgh, registering 12 points. In three games with the Penguins this season, he didn't register a point.
