Gostisbehere extends his rookie record.

Fans in Philadelphia may not get to witness any post hockey this season and while certainly fans won't be happy if their team misses the post-season, there is still a level of excitement surrounding the team.

That excitement is due in large part to the incredible play of rookie defenseman Shayne Gostisbehere who on Tuesday night extended his rookie record with a point in his 13th consecutive game, the only rookie defenseman to ever do so. Perhaps most impressive of all was the fact he did it against one of the National Hockey League's best goaltenders in Cory Schenider.

Gostisbehere holds the record for a rookie defenseman but could he challenge Paul Stastny's rookie record for all positions of 20 consecutive games with a point?
