Gostisbehere sets a Flyers record!!

Shayne Gostisbehere is having quite an amazing season and tonight he added an exclamation to his season so far. He scored his 14th goal of the season on a bomb of a one timer on a nice feed from Claude Giroux. It was his second goal of the game and it also gave him the Flyers record for goals by a rookie defenseman.

It has been awesome watching him continuously put up points. He now has 37 points in 47 games He is definitely putting his name in the Calder race. The only thing that might hurt him is that he won't play as many games as the other top rookies but if he keeps putting up points like this, he will definitely give himself a great chance.

He has been a huge bright spot for the Flyers. He has been a huge factor in the Flyers' turn around. With the win tonight against the Bolts, Philly now sees themselves just 2 points behind the Red Wings for the final wild card spot. It will definitely be a great finish to the season for many reasons.
