Gotta See It: Conference Finals littered with Leafs castaways
Keystone Press

Are you a diehard Toronto Maple Leafs fan who just can’t get into the NHL’s Stanley Cup playoffs now that the Leafs are out of the mix? Good news! The Eastern and Western Conference championships are littered with former Leafs, both on the ice and on the bench…even in the press box.

If those names don’t put you into a cold sweat, we don’t know what will. Carlyle, Nonis, Bernier and Holzer are all members of the Anaheim Ducks, Phaneuf and MacArthur the Ottawa Senators, while Phil Kessel, of course, is with the Pittsburgh Penguins. Missing from the above list however is PA Parenteau of the Nashville Predators. Do you know what this means, Leafs fans? At least one former Leaf will be hoisting the Stanley Cup in June. How’s that make you feel? Good? Bad? Or…indifferent?
