Gotta See It: The very best of Mike Smith

When the Calgary Flames acquired Brian Elliott from the St Louis Blues last offseason, even GM Brad Treliving admitted the move was an experiment. Well… the experiment failed, just like the Jonas Hiller experiment from the previous season. So, this offseason Treliving decided to go the “safe” route and acquired Mike Smith from the Arizona Coyotes. Smith is a proven veteran who has been a top goalie in the NHL for over a decade. He brings a track record of personal success to Calgary and should help the Flames take their game to the next level.

When was the last time you remember a Flames goalie making saves like these? Kipper? From like 10 years ago? Flames fans should be very excited to see what their team can do with Smith backstopping them in 2017-18.
