The Toronto Maple Leafs may be on to something. On Wednesday morning, the Leafs signed forward Noah Gregor to a professional tryout (PTO) contract.
Toronto has three contract spots currently available ahead of the 2023-24 season. And a little competition has been added to the mix with the impressive pickup of Gregor, who gets a chance at cracking the Maple Leafs’ roster.
Gregor put up 10 goals and 17 points in 57 games with the San Jose Sharks last season. He was a fourth-round pick of San Jose in the 2016 NHL Draft. He’s took part in 178 career games with the Sharks, posting 26 goals and 51 points.
His last two contracts have been for one year at 750k and 950k respectively, and could land around those same numbers if he manages to crack the roster in Toronto.
But as of now, Gregor is breaking other records, jumping to the top of most searched in Google Canada…
