Things are getting nasty in the Blackhawks locker room.
The Chicago Blackhawks are going through it right now and some of the details coming out about the situation are pretty gruesome.
The Blackhawks locker room has been decimated by a stomach virus that is currently ravaging through the entire locker room, with several Blackhawks players having been negatively impacted by the bug.
On Monday morning, Ben Pope of the Chicago Sun Times spoke to several of the players who have been dealing with the current situation and shared some details with the public of just how bad things have been.
Blackhawks defenseman Louis Crevier had one of the most harrowing ordeals with the 24 year old revealing that he lost a shocking 8 lbs in the span of just 48 hours, a huge and dangerous amount of weight to lose in such a short period of time.
Crevier wasn't alone however with Blackhawks goaltender Spencer Knight also going through an ordeal of his own. It sounds like Knight was trying to make his way into Friday's game against the Washington Capitals but the "next thing you know, he’s violently vomiting in the bathroom. That was the answer."
The problem with illnesses of this nature is they tend to spread from person to person and as a result the room remains contagious for an extended period of time, and I can only hope that the Blackhawks get it under control before more players have to suffer through this ordeal.
