Gruesome details revealed on Stars’ Roope Hintz’s injury and it’s worse than you think!

The details on his injury are quite something… If you dare to find out more, it’s down below:

Chris Gosselin

During the Western conference Final against the Edmonton Oilers, Dallas Stars forward Roope Hintz played through a fractured foot. During his exit interview earlier this weekend, he spoke about the injury and how it happened.
The injury occured in Game 2 of the West Final following a slash from Oilers defenseman Darnell Nurse , who received a two-minute minor penalty but no supplemental discipline on the play.

Hintz was sidelined for Game 3 of the series with the injury before returning for the final two games. He scored in Game 5 while skating 16:59.

On Friday, after the firing of head coach Pete DeBoer, who basically ended up losing his job over his comments towards goalie Jake Oettinger during Game 5, general manager Jim Nill also provided different updates on his players’ injuries. After revealing that Tyler Seguin battled through an injured shoulder and Lian Bischel was dealing with a shoulder injury, but also had ankle plate removal today from a previous injury that had bothered him, it was confirmed that Hintz was more hurt than anyone could have imagined.

Hintz reportedly suffered from that “broken foot that required two days of vials of blood being drained to get it to stop bleeding.”

“Talk about Roope’s injury, that was a broken foot. The biggest problem with Roope was we couldn’t get it to stop bleeding. We had to take out vials of blood two days straight, that’s why he missed the one game. Where it broke the bone, it just kept bleeding.” - Jim Nill

That’s just awful…

Let’s hope that Hintz, and everyone else in the Stars’ dressing room, is feeling better.

Hintz had six goals and six assists in 17 playoff games this postseason.
