The Montreal Canadiens have made a last minute change to their lineup.

According to an official announcement, Canadiens defenseman Jayden Struble has been knocked out of the lineup due to an injury and will not participate in today's game against the Colorado Avalanche.

The Canadiens have not shared any details other than to announce that Struble is dealing with an upper body injury.

Struble was in the lineup for the Canadiens on Friday when they clashed against the Vegas Golden Knights and ate up over 17 minutes of ice time in that contest. It isn't entirely clear at this time what has led to this injury.

Struble has been an important player for the Canadiens this season with 19 games under his belt already where he has collected 4 points, all assists. Struble has skated for over 15 minutes of ice time on average during those 19 appearances this season which will make his absence a notable one moving forward.
