Habs Forward: “We Can Compete For The Stanley Cup”

Fresh off of a 3-year extension, one forward believes that the Montreal Canadiens are Stanley Cup contenders.

 

Paul Byron found himself a new home in Montreal after being placed on waivers by the Calgary Flames last season, and earned himself a three-year contract after impressing with 11 goals in 62 games while playing on a third or fourth line.

 

He told the team’s official website: “With our core group, we can beat any team in the leagie. We can compete for the Stanley Cup.” He added: “We had a taste of winning at the start of the year… The fans have the expectation for us to win, and that’s the expectation that I have personally, too.”
