This just in, the Montreal Canadiens have reportedly traded former 1st round pick Michael McCarron to the Nashville Predators in exchange for Laurent Dauphin.

Check it out:

Details to come.

McCarron, 24 years old, has struggled to make an impact in the NHL after being selected 25th overall by the Habs in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft. He has just two goals and eight points in 69 career NHL games. He's got five goals and 14 points in 29 games with the AHL's Laval Rocket so far this season.

Dauphin is a similar player, chosen just 14 picks after McCarron in that same 2013 NHL Entry Draft. He has struggled to make an impact at the NHL level, despite given an opportunity with both the Arizona Coyotes and the Predators’ organizations. He has seven goals and 16 points in 33 games with the AHL’s Milwaukee Admirals this season.
