Habs want to bring back former forward, but have stiff competition from multiple teams.

It sounds like the Montreal Canadiens want to bring back one of their former forwards but there may be a great deal of competition for him on the market.

While Dale Weise is by no means a National Hockey League star, he was a fan favorite in Montreal for his ability to perform in big games, likely the very reason Montreal's management values him and wants him back in the fold.

However the Habs opted to deal Weise at the deadline and according to TSN insider Darren Dreger at least ten NHL franchises have reached out to Weiss to express interest in the soon to be free agent. 

The level of interest is likely to drive up the price, and with the Habs recently signing Andrew Shaw to a big deal that may take them out of the Dale Weise sweepstakes.
