The Chicago Blackhawks are on fire lately and they are letting the Western conference know about it.

By defeating the Colorado Avalanche 6-3, Chicago has now won their last 7 games.

Patrick kane and Marian Hossa produced the majority of the offense with 2 goals each. Jonathan Toews and Brad Mashinter also scored for the Hawks, with Toews adding an assist. Corey Crawford was solid in from of Chicago's net with 34 saves.

Marian Hossa's goal ended his career long goal drought at 14 games:

"When I was younger, I tried to do a little too much," said Hossa, who turns 37 on Tuesday. "I've learned over those years, if the puck doesn't go in, try to use your instincts, stay positive. Eventually it's going to go in. And I know it's been such a long time. It feels good. It's something new in my career to learn to think positive this long, to not get too frustrated," Hossa said. "Just keep working hard. I was getting chances. The puck just doesn't go in."

Chicago is now only four points behind the Dallas Stars who seem to still be hangover from the holidays and can't seem to be able to win a hockey game lately.
