The Hawks needed a way out of this fink they were in. The Winnipeg Jets ended up being the answer. The Hawks shut out the Jets 4-0 after losing their last 4 games.

It was an important win because of how tight it is at the top of the Central division. The Hawks currently sit 3rd, 1 point behind St. Louis and 3 points behind Dallas. Home ice advantage is always important come playoff time and finishing 1st would guarantee that for the first couple of rounds.

Andrew Ladd scored his 20th goal of the season in his return to Winnipeg. Toews made a nice pass to Ladd who got open in the low slot and fired passed his ex teammate Ondrej Pavelec. Even though his is no longer wearing a Jets uniform, the Winnipeg fans applauded their ex captain's goal which was a nice moment. Ladd also saluted the fans who gave him a standing ovation during a tv time out in the first period. It was a nice moment for Ladd.

Now that the Hawks have found their winning ways again, they will have to continue while they push to finish 1st in the Central.
